katjaanderson added: the Peter the Great Easter Egg by Faberge, dated 1903. Given by Tsar Nicholas II to the Tsaritsa Alexandra. Every Easter (except 1904 and 1905, when Russia was at war with Japan) he gave a Faberge Egg to her and to his mother, the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna.

This double feathered brooch is known as the Feuilles de Houx, a Christmas present from King Edward VIII to Mrs. Simpson in 1936. Designed by Van Cleef and Arpels, one feather has been invisibly set with rubies, the other with pave diamonds.
